    The tour is free, but space is limited, so please RSVP at tedif@uw.edu.

    Tours limited to 10 people per session. First come-first served.

    Registration will cut off at 30 attendees, so be sure to confirm your participation.

    Community members in and around Newcastle and Issaquah share a love of history. Historical societies and individuals have curated their own assortments of tools, residential items, and machinery that local archaeologists can view to learn more about the artifacts we might identify while working in the woods here in western WA. Let’s gather to view one man’s collection of items and learn together.

  • Archaeology Family Day at the Burke Museum

    Join us for a day of fun activities for all ages at Archaeology Family Day at the Burke Museum! Find out more about archaeology techniques from Burke Museum archaeologists and event partners as they share tabletop activities and stories about artifacts and belongings. Learn about ancient technologies, identify animal bones, hear Native storytellers, watch a flintknapping (stone tool making) demonstration, and more! Jason Cooper, AWA President Emeritus, will be hosting a table, so come on down and join us for a day of fun and learning.
