  • June 17, 2026
  • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Online

Jade d'Alpoim Guedes will cover what can be learned from the analysis of paleoethnobotanical remains in archaeological sites. We will discuss how remains are preserved particularly in the context of the Pacific Northwest and how to carry out sampling for these remains and carry out low cost recovery using bucket flotation on site. We will cover what types of recovery mesh size are necessary to recover key taxa as well as sample sizes. Sign up for a spot in the Google Sheet linked here by adding your email address to the designated session. Thank you for your session sponsor, University of Washington!
