The Association for
Washington Archaeology

Founded in 1981, the Association for Washington Archaeology (AWA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to the protection of archaeological and historical resources in the State of Washington.

Our membership is composed of professional archaeologists, academics, students, and Native American tribal members. Our organization welcomes anyone with an interest in learning about and protecting Washington’s cultural heritage, archaeological resources, and places of cultural and historic significance.
