On-Call Archaeological Field Technician Description and Qualifications

Cultural Resource Consultants, LLC (CRC) is inviting qualified individuals to submit resumes/CVs for On-Call Archaeological Field Technician positions. Successful applicants will be added to our roster of field technicians who assist with fieldwork on a project-to-project basis. Field locations vary but are typically in western and central Washington.

• Assisting with pedestrian and shovel probe surveys in a variety of environments and weather conditions,
• Assisting with archaeological monitoring in a variety of environments and weather conditions, and
• Assisting with writing up survey results or other post-field tasks as needed.

  On-Call Archaeological Field Technician applicants must:

• • Reside in the Puget Sound region and be able to travel to various project locations for field assignments.
  • Have experience working with or knowledge of Pacific Northwest and/or Plateau archaeology, and ability to recognize archaeological materials and features in the field.
  • Have received archaeological field training such as a field school or other field experience.
  • Have an organized work ethic with the ability to communicate effectively with project managers and project archaeologists.
  • Have a history of good work attendance and punctuality.

Compensation and Benefits at CRC

Wages for this position start at $24.75/hour depending on experience. Hours per week will vary by project. Temporary part-time employees are eligible for holiday hours after 200 hours worked. CRC complies with State of Washington and City of Seattle regulations providing paid sick leave. CRC pays the employee portion of WA PFML premiums. Holiday and sick leave accrual begins on the first day of work.
