We are seeking an experienced cultural‑resources practitioner with strong grounding in archaeology, Tribal consultation, and compliance across state and federal frameworks. This role supports policy development, project review, and respectful engagement with Tribal Nations and culturally affiliated groups.
Position Focus:
• Cultural resources policy development
• Tribal and stakeholder consultation
• Supporting statewide environmental planning and permitting
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Work grounded in WDFW’s ASPIRE values (Accountability, Service, Professionalism, Integrity, Respect, Empathy)
Ideal Candidates May Have:
• Background in archaeology, anthropology, or cultural‑resources management
• Experience with Section 106/DAHP processes
• Familiarity with Washington cultural‑resource laws, Tribal relations, and consultation best practices
• Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively across diverse communities
