The Alta Heritage Foundation is mobilizing in response to recent fires in Spokane and other parts of Washington. This nonprofit organization provides a free service to help wildfire survivors recover the cremated remains of loved ones from homes destroyed by fire. Volunteer archaeologists and specially trained canines conduct this deeply meaningful work with care, sensitivity, and exceptional professionalism.
