How to Publish in Archaeology in Washington

Completed manuscripts should be formatted as a Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format document and submitted via email to the current editors, Adam N. Rorabaugh and Alexandra M. Peck. Submissions should be sent to Association for WA Archaeology with ATTN: AWA Journal in the subject line.

Submitted manuscripts should follow style guidelines set forth by the Society for American Archaeology. These style guidelines encompass all aspects of manuscripts, including titles, headers, abstracts, text, figures, and references. Once submitted to the Editor, all manuscripts will undergo a process of double-blind peer review and editing before acceptance for publication.

Manuscripts submitted to AiW must stem from work performed fully in compliance with all relevant federal and state preservation laws, and any information contained in submitted manuscripts must safeguard the specific location(s) of archaeological and/or historic resources as per RCW 42.56.300.
